Everything that intrigues me from Christianity to politics to sports and anything in between with a slight Cajun Tiger spice!!!
please define "charitable causes"if it includes all 501 (c)(3) organizations, that could be misleading. Just because a group is non-profit does not mean that donating to them is automatically "charitable," right?
CTFound the article on Friday. I was going to post it myself, you beat me to the punch.
Not surprised at all, the left believes the government should dole out the charity bucks, not its citizens. If I hear one more time about 0.7% GDP giving in europe.Throwing money at the problem of poverty will not solve it. What is needed is a concerted effort to attack the problem with the seriousness that it requires. An effort that has never been proposed by supporters of GDP benchmark giving. Not only are liberals fiscally stingy, they come up short in the reproduction arena also.
I've heard this many times and know it to be true even among my circle of people.
And yet conservatives are the stingy ones because we don't want the government to suck our pockets dry and then use the money inefficiently.
Southpaw...I'd have to look at the article better but I would assume they are defining them as only charitable orgs like Salvation Army and the such that do something to help the less fortunate. In those categories there has been study after study showing conservatives far outgive liberals.Ron...gotta be quick my friend ;)Skye...yeah it is pretty ridiculousLMC...goverment "help" is anything but.
