Want Good Kids...Go To Church
According to a new study, "The children of parents who regularly attended church services and talked with their child about religion were rated by both parents and teachers as showing better behavior, self-control skills and social skills than children from non-religious families. Children whose parents both attended church regularly were rated as having the best behavior and being the most well-adjusted."

For them to receive the message and examine the Scriptures every day of their lives. Thanks Shane. I love the article!
I'm not surprised at all.
When I was a youth pastor, a parent was asked by another parent why they brought their kids to church when the kids did not want to go.
Her response was great. She said that many times her kids did not want to go to the doctor either, but as a parent she had a responsibility to make sure they were healthy. To her, church was just tending to the spiritual health of her kids.
While going to church may not solve all of society's ills, I'll take my chance with group any day!
So true!!Sometimes children raised to go to Church may stray awhile but in the long run they will do what is right. I wish more parents now-a-days would see that children need religion in there lives. They are all too caught up in other things and feel they don't have time to worship on Sundays to give thanks and praise to God for all their blessings. They feel just believing in God,being a good person and maybe praying once in a while is enough. All good, but it isn't enough.
They work hard all week and need to sleep and relax or have to catch up with chores left not done all week. Also they feel there are so many things to do and places to go where can they fit in worshiping Jesus, who gave his life for them to be able to do all these things!!I think their priorities need to be adjusted.
With the way the world is today, children and parents need to make time for God because time won't wait on them, it just keeps going by until one day you wake up wishing you had done better with your time and hope it isn't to late. With God his time is your time and he will always be there for you but you have to make the effort to make things right with Him.
Many parents that were raised to go to Church(Catholic) stopped going and still want their children to be baptized, go to religion, make their Communion and make their Confirmation. That is all good but by not going to Church it is not showing thier children to practice and participate in what they are taught.I might not have been the perfect parent, but I feel my grown children did get at least the begining foundation of knowing God while they were growing up and hope and pray that they will continue and show their children that they need to have God in their lives.
Shane, I am proud of you. I wish you would be still practicing the Catholic Faith, but I understand. You feel like you get more out of your your religion you participate in now.The main thing is that you are continuing to practice your faith.Grandpa Cheramie would also be proud on how you are writing these articles in your blog and the way you express your opinions.Keep it up!!!!!
