Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor and Your Felons

As further proof that the immigration "reform" bill is an extremely bad bill, the Senate wouldn't even pass an amendment (hat tip: Mike's America) to bar convicted felons and previously deportation ordered illegal aliens from the amnesty...oops I mean immigration reform bill.

Once again, anything with McCain-Kennedy on it has to be rotten to the core. I was glad to see this bill go down in flames tonight.

And my other SC Senator, Jim DeMint, the one who actually DOES represent me introduced the amendment with Coburn that would have required the U.S. to certify before Congress that we were enforcing all current immigration law. That too was shot down.

And my other Senator Lindsey Grahamnesty doesn't understand why people don't trust this bill?

Conservatives are on a roll now. First we got the Iraq funding and now this. What's next?

Even the libs I personally know couldn't believe that the curbing of illegal-invader felons wouldn't pass.

Well, at least the bill didn't get through this time. Thank the Lord! I was losing sleep over the possibility (likelihood) that immigration amnesty was going to be crammed down the taxpayers' throats.
