Me and SophoniePlease meet Sophonie (pronounced like so-funny, which was very fitting because he was lots of fun). He was one of our main host while we were in Burundi along with Sara. He is one of the most humble men I've ever met in my entire life! It was an absolute honor and privilege to meet and get to know him. In Burundi, his voice is famous b/c he was a broadcaster. He just recently joined the World Relief staff as the Manager of Church Mobilization. I have no doubt he will do great things in that role.
While we were there, when someone would ask him something, nearly every time his response would be, "it is possible." One of the peeps on the team asked him why he always responded in that way to questions, and his response was because with God all things are possible. Very true statement from a very wise man!

Very neat post about a fascinating guy. I always love it when I meet godly people who are optimistic like that.
In high school I went to a Christian camp and a bunch of us were whining about the rain and whatever else was bugging us. There was this guy who always pointed out what he was thank-ful for instead and his attitude really impressed me. And he didn't do it in a self-righteous or patronizing way, he was just a genuinely, good example.
