I finished the first Narnia book, "The Magician's Nephew," last night. If you haven't read the books, this first book explains some stuff in the movie. You learn about the lantern in the middle of the forest (I wondered why they didn't say anything about it in the movie), the professor, where the witch came from among, and how the wardrobe came to be to name just a few.
It is also has a very beautiful description of how Aslan creates the world of Narnia. Makes you really wonder how beautiful it must have been when God created the earth from nothing.
