Missionaries Equal to Terrorists???

Muslim leaders in Uzbekistan declared Christian missionaries "as dangerous as terrorist activities or the illegal drug trade." Their basis is that missionary activities disrupt society b/c Uzbek families do not tolerate relatives who covert from Islam.

So instead of calling for families to have more tolerance or allow freedom of choice with their relatives, they have actually made persecution even more accepted by comparing such activities equal to terrorism. What is even worse is that the Catholic and Orthodox church leaders have joined the declaration.

HI Cajun,
Good point, and a great point I can use for my Sunday night sermon on the World's hatred for Christians in John 15:18ff.

I came here to say that your comment over at Dee's place was excellent, almost a post in and of itself. Keep up the work and nice blog.
Blessings

Dear Cajun Tiger,

I am contacting you on behalf of John Fleming for Congress. I am writing because this campaign respects your impressive website which showcases your immense talent.

Blogs are underutilized in politics. This campaign is interested in developing a strong relationship with blogs across Louisiana and the nation, yours included. Please contact upon receiving this e-mail, as I would like future communication.

Sincerely,

Raymond Smalley

Tim...thanks for dropping in and for the kind words. That verse definitely keeps everything in perspective. It also flys in the face of Christians who preach once you except Christ life is all roses which I think has done more harm to Christianity than nearly anything else IMHO due to the dissillusionment (is that a word??? if not I still like it =) caused when challenges come.

Raymond...thanks for your kind words also...I'll be in touch to see what ya'll have in mind. BTW...I checked out your candidates site and have to say that is one of the most impressive campaign websites I've seen to date.
