Can You Say - ILLEGAL!!!

Why can't liberals understand such a simple word as ILLEGAL!!! On the Laura Ingraham Show a typical liberal was defending the right of a student who is here illegally to receive in-state tuition at American universities. That more than one state even allows this blows my mind.

If we can't enforce the simplest of laws how can we ever expect to stop people who will exploit our weaknesses to do us serious harm. This has nothing to do with people who only want to get an education. It has everything to do with those who are watching and learning ways to slip through the cracks in order to carry out the next 9-11 or worse.

There are legal ways into this country. There are legal ways to attend American universities. By allowing people who break our laws to benefit more than those who obey our laws, what incentive is there to obey them in the future...NONE!

Another prime example of not understanding the distinction of legal vs. illegal is the schizophrenia of the Left on whether the law has been broken in this Valerie Plame deal. First it’s about the Administration getting back at its critics, so it’s illegal. Then it’s about confidentiality of sources, so it’s legal. Now it’s Karl Rove's evil plan, so it’s illegal again. It was funny to hear the Liberal commentator on TV this morning say something to the effect of, “well, Rove may not have broken the law, but there was a conspiracy there,” as if a conspiracy about something legal (preventing Democrats from being elected? :-) ) is something to be punished.

Couldn't have said it better. Even Wilson is saying now that his wife wasn't a clandestine officer when Novak broke the story. This whole story is about trying to take out the most effective Republican campaign strategist in the country and nothing more.

It's much like parenting. I don't know much politically, but I do know a lot about parenting (obviously with 2 kids and one on the way). If we consistently allow our children to break the rules or laws, we have given them a loophole in our discipline. Which as you say shows our weakness and allows for them to step all over us. As I explain to my child that rules are made for your safety, here is a society saying it's okay to break the "rules." Well, that's not okay with me and I can only say "because I said so" only so many times before my children who at some point say why is it okay for others to do it. Definitely, not making it easy to parent children in this nation.
