Wait...You Mean It Isn't Bush's Fault After All?

As more and more facts come out concerning the response to Katrina, the more we see who really deserves blame. The liberal media and national Dems are of course trying to pin everything on Bush. However more and more evidence is pointing directly to Blanco and Nagin, the Democratic governor and the Democratic mayor of New Orleans.

Federal agencies started asking Blanco to require mandatory evacuation on Friday. President Bush even called on Saturday, yet the evacuation wasn't ordered until Sunday afternoon which is no where near enough time to get everyone out even if they wanted to.

A major part of the city's evacuation plan was to use city buses, yet the mayor only started using them Sunday evening and that was only to transfer people to the Superdome.

The Superdome and the Convention Center had no water, food or security...all state requirements.

Then after the hurricane passed, the Red Cross was immediately ready to go the Superdome, but Louisiana officials didn't allow them to, not because it wasn't safe, but because they didn't want more people going to there instead of leaving.

The levee broke Tuesday and President Bush immediately requested the authority to control the situation with Federal troops. However Blanco said she needed 24 hours to consider it. How crazy is that!!! She didn't give the go ahead until late Wednesday. What the liberal media is "forgetting" to report is that President Bush couldn't send a single trooper into the state without Blanco's permission.

So food, water and troops were ready to respond immediately, yet Blanco continually blocked them for who knows why other than pure incompetence.

Even today she is trying to block Nagin from issuing a mandatory evacuation of the city.

Isn't it supposed to be the Democrats who are the ones who look out for the minorities. If that is so, how come over and over we see the worst examples of neglect in Democrat controlled regions. New Orleans has been under Democrat control for decades and yet it is one of the poorest cities in the country.

Compared to Gov. Barber of Mississippi and Gov. Bush of Florida, Blanco is extremely lacking even nearing the level of grounds for impeachment.

Do you think that the existence of FEMA (an incompetent bureaucracy if there ever was one) lets the states think they are off the hook when it comes to protecting their citizens from disasters?

Absolutely...especially a state so government reliant like LA...just like people have a welfare mentality, states very much so have a federal welfare mentality.

Glad I could be of assistance =) I took that info from several sources because I haven't yet found one article anywhere linking all that info together.
