President Bush's nomination of Judge Samuel Alito, based on initial reactions from both sides of the aisle, is just the fight conservatives wanted before the Miers nomination. His appointment will almost assuredly move the Court to the right, and the lefties will fight to the death to see that this doesn't happen.
This one will get wild, so hang on tight. It will be a very fun ride.
