What an amazing thing to do on the 4th of July. Today, 89 LEGAL immigrants participated in a naturalization ceremony and became US citizens. Not only did they do it the LEGAL way, but they have already and will continue to put their life on the line in defense of the new citizenship they have just earned.
Any kind of amnesty, be it fast track or length of time in America, that rewards ILLEGAL immigrants with the same privileges these new Americans fought for and will possibly die for is a slap in their face as well as everyone else who follows the LEGAL paths to citizenship.

Pondering...thanks for the comment. Being I don't know which sites you are referring to, I can't respond to what they say. However, from my perspective, before the streamlining can happen we first have to get control of the border.
The reason I'm against any type of program that rewards those who came here illegally is b/c all it does is encourage more to do the same thinking that all they have to do is hide in the system long enough and one day they too will be offered a "deal."
It didn't work in '86 and it won't work now b/c the root of the problem, the border, has to be solved before any other reform will be effective.
