SUV Liberal
Once again we have a liberal, Sen. Barak Obama, who preaches one thing "evil gas guzzling vehicles" yet practices another, "drives away from event in an SUV."
I think the only people who should drive SUV's are large families who need the space or something along those lines. The newer SUV hibrids are way more environmentally friendly so I have no problem with them. No, I don't think it's ok to tell others not to drive one and then drive one yourself but I think it should be Christian's leading the charge of responsibility in stewardship of our natural resourses not liberals or consrvatives.
FI...I agree that we are charged to be good stewards, however too many are using scare tactics of "global warming" to try and force people to do things that just aren't necessary.
My argument is gas, and our dependency on foreign oil and America's obsession with excess. We could care less that we are at war, we just want to drive our big gas guzzling road hogs. Like I said, there are families or people who need that kind of space, horse power, 4 wheel drive, etc, but If the Amercian public demaned a more fuel efficiet SUV from manufacturers, we would get it. We are just too busy showing the world how flashy and in your face we can be by continuing to buy gas guzzling vehicles. I love the bumper sticker "what would Jesus drive?" Cheesy play on an overused slogan but it ask a good question for American Christian's to ponder.

I really think the world could care less about what we drive. They hate us anyway.
Being dependant on "foreign" oil is definitely the problem, not SUV's.
