I observed Veterans Day by visiting with a Veteran: John McCain.

In answering my question he told me that military leaders are all opposed to "torture" of our detainees with the understanding that if we do it to them, they will do it to us.

Any thoughts? Do all military personnel think waterboarding is torture?

Mike, is that an official question you are asking me or just wondering out loud? If official then I don't know, but if general I'd say they have no problem with it as from what I've seen and heard it is extremely effective.

And as I've said in other places, if it was truly torture, would protesters and news reporters so easily agree to have it done to them? I doubt you'd see someone use shock therapy in a protest if they thought we were using that...why...b/c that is torture. And the second question I like to ask is that if waterboarding is torture and torture is illegal, shouldn't the protesters that were "waterboarding" one of their own be arrested?

Ponder among yourselves =)
